Use one of the following methods to ensure that you order the correct part for your MacBook:
If the laptop is working, click on the Apple logo on the desktop menu bar while holding down the ‘option’ key and select ‘System Information’. This will bring up the computer’s Hardware Overview. Both the computer’s Serial Number
and Model Identifier
are listed there. Enter the Model Identifier into the Search Field
at the top of the page. The completed search will show all of the parts that we have listed for the MacBook in question.
If the laptop isn't working, or you can't find the part you need, email your computer's Serial Number1
along with a description of the part you need using the product request form which you will find here -> Product Request
. You will receive an answer to your inquiry within one business day - if not sooner.
1 All Late 2009 and Mid 2010 MacBook models have the serial number printed on the bottom case. For all other models you must remove the battery to locate the serial number which is printed on the bottom of the battery bay, except for the Late 2008 (Aluminum) model in which the serial number is located on the front wall of the battery bay.
