iMac Logic Board <-> LVDS Video Connector Component Level Repair
The iMac logic board video connector is extremely fragile and easily damaged. This frequently occurs when the iMac is disassembled - for example when the internal hard drive needs to be replaced or upgraded.
And because damage to the connector is such a common occurrence we have implemented this special service which covers the removal of the damaged connector and its replacement with a new one. To qualify for the service it is presumed that the logic board is otherwise fully functional*.
Sometimes the LVDS <-> LCD cable connector is damaged. We also provide a repair service for the cable connector.
* If the logic board has additional damage we provide a logic board full-service option which covers both the LVDS connector replacement and the component level repair of the the logic board as a whole. You will find the repair option for this item listed here -> iMac Logic Board Repairs.
