Identify your computer … There are five Power Macintosh G5 generations: Late 2005, Early 2005, Late 2004, June 2004, and the original Power Mac G5 (2003). Major components for each PMG5 (logic boards, processors, etc.) are unique, meaning that you must identify which model Power Mac G5 you have before ordering replacement parts for it.
The information you need to do this - your computer's serial number and processor speed - is printed below the air deflector inside the access panel recess. (Note: power down and unplug your computer before removing the access panel).
Next Step ...
Enter the serial number in the space provided here: Apple Tech Specs. This will lead to a new page containing specs for several PMG5 models. Note the Model Number for your computer based on its processor speed. Use your browser's back button to return to GALAXY and then match your computer's Model Number with the part you need.
If you like, we can do this for you, just email your computer's serial number and processor speed to GALAXY, mentioning the type of part you need (logic board, power supply, video card etc.) and we'll send you all necessary information about the part you need to order. Send your email to: Parts Inquiry. |
