To illustrate the difference: CD/DVD drives which are installed internally in an PowerMac G3 will be found in this section of the site, whereas external CD/DVD drives - which can be used with several different platforms - are listed in the Storage section of the Site Navigation menu. Similarly, hard disk drives which can be used internally, or externally with a variety of platforms are listed in the Storage section of the site, and do not appear at all in the PowerMac G3 section.

POWERMAC G3 MODELS

There are two PowerMac G3 models distinguished by the color of their outer casing: Beige and Blue and White.

There are three versions of the Beige G3 : All-in-One [AiO] with built-in display; desktop [DT]; and mini-tower [MT]. There is only one version of the Blue and White G3: mini-tower.
